If applicable: Company name (Corporate customers only) not mado
Compulsory for co-operate: Company registration number (Corporate Customers only)
Identity Card
Active alternative number
Accept the Terms & Conditions of the service and sign the Number Porting Request Form as a declaration that you understand and consent to the porting.
Submit the form with any other required documents at an MTN Service Centre or authorized MTN outlet
You will be given a new MTN SIM card
Instructed to send SMS with the word " PORT "to 3232.
Takes 12- 48hours and to successful port to MTN
validation of your details will commence to validate your MTN Port.
MTN port message that confirms your MTN Port procedure as been acknowledged will be sent to you in this format below
" your request is being processed"
MTN porting process conclusion message comes later after this, a message in the format below
"insert your new SIM card in your handset"
Automatically your MTN porting is completed and you will be activated on MTN pay go plan.
All postpaid activation is considered secondary and will only take effect after Primary procedure which is the MTN Pay go plan.
